As of 2025, the total production capacity of domestic environmental protection panels has reached 44.2 million cubic meters, of which ENF-grade and above high-end products cover 61.8% of the production capacity, and the proportion of aldehyde-free board production capacity has increased to 38.5%, with an average annual compound growth rate of 9.8% in the industry.

In terms of policy guidance, policies such as the expansion of the "Green Building Materials Product Certification Catalogue" and the new regulations on residential air quality of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development continue to release dividends, promoting enterprises to accelerate the upgrading of adhesive systems. Traditional urea-formaldehyde adhesives are gradually replaced by aldehyde-free routes such as MDI and bio-based, and leading companies such as Wanhua Chemical have achieved a 15% increase in glue strength and a 28% reduction in carbon emissions throughout the life cycle through self-developed MDI aldehyde-free adhesive technology. At the same time, consumers' premium acceptance of environmentally friendly certified products has increased significantly, with a premium space of 22.7% for products with 10-ring certification and GREENGUARD gold certification. Industry experts pointed out that environmental compliance will become the core competitiveness of enterprises in the future, and small and medium-sized manufacturers need to accelerate the upgrading of environmental protection technology to cope with market elimination pressure.
